February 19th: Something I hate to do...

Before I figure out something I hate to do, I have a funny:

Mary has taken a particular interest in the February Photo a Day Challenge.  She always likes to check and see what's coming up...and a few days she has drawn a picture that would be in keeping with the challenge assignment.

So it totally made her day on the 16th when she was the subject of "Something New."  That day, having already lived through February's photos to that point, she was looking ahead to see what was coming up on the list.

Now, I may have mentioned a time or two that Mary is very bright...sometimes almost surprisingly so...sometimes to the point of frustration.  Hers and mine.

But sometimes it is adorable...like when she looked up at me and said, "It would be funnier if you put some of these together: Something New, Something Blue, Something that You Hate to Do."

She's right!  Totally funnier!

But I digress...mainly because I don't really have anything to say on today's topic!

I mean, I could go practical and say that I hate my daily joust against the laundry monster...but, duh!
I asked Mary to draw me a picture of the Laundry Monster, and this is what she did.
That is so precisely the way I picture it...it's eerie!
(Please note the underpants on the floor.  Art imitating life!)

Philosophically, I hate planning meals, preparing food, and having a chorus of grumblers complain that they don't like it...or actually gagging on it!  Please!

Something I really, truly hate is realizing that I have done something that can't be undone...or said something that can't be unsaid.  But there's no way I would want to take a picture of that, even if I could.

But then it hit me!

It's futile, I know, since I have so many people at the ready, just waiting to stand in the way of my punctuality...but I just HATE to be late!  I hate lagging behind!  I hate when I have too much to-do list to cram into too little day!

And I hate when I fall a day behind on my bloggin'!

And, with that...I'm caught up!  Woo hoo!

Blessings!

Oh, see...now she's on a roll!  Follow the numbers to read the comic!
(And it's funny because it's true.)

  1. Must be genetic. I totally hate that too! Fortunately, I wasn't late for anything today!
